I came in the Nice area 12 years ago and felt in love with this little paradise. With my family we have been visiting most of the areas of the cote d'Azur, here are some ideas that can help you preparing your trip.

If you just arrive at Nice here are some suggestions on what you can do by just walking around:
Markets:
Go and visit the vegetables market of "Cours Saleya" as well as the fish market which is an institution in Nice.

This is the most popular waterfront of the Riviera, you will always enjoy having a walk there at any time.

Nice Castle:
In the Nice hill there is a castle with some whaterfalls and a fantastic view of Nice old town (Vieux Nice) you can try to find where our apartment is located from there.

Food and drinks:
If you want an ice-cream head to the Rossetti square and stop by Fenocchio and their hundreds of flavours.
The specialities of the area includes the socca and the "farcis nicois" that you have to try, one of the most popular places is called "Phila Leva".
For having a drink "Les trois diables" at the Cours Saleya is one of the most popular places.
There are hundreds of restaurants in the Cours Saleya but they are mainly for tourists and they charge quite a bit expensive. The quality is good but the price is not that good.
Le Gesu restaurant is in a more calm area than the Cours Saleya and very close to our apartment .
